New additions will take place at DeckerD. I will be adding more functionality, in my opinion. Something to make you want to come back (I hope!). I want to create a favorite section of some sort, photos section for my personal touch, and have been really thinking about a “Mini-Blog”. This way all the “technical” articles can be straight forward, and the “Mini-Blog” is more of a journal of some sort.
The favorites section will consist of the not-so-typical download section. Don”t you hate those places that are filled with a bunch of software and crap, and you have the stupid pop-ups, including the software that you download, only to find out that there was “false advertising” and your freeware is shareware? So do I. That’’s why anything I share to download, either I use or find interesting and is free. When I say free, I mean not only free, but adware-free, spyware-free. Most of the programs I will am usually interested in are active open-source applications. Done for the most part. Will continually add more content, but this is an ongoing project. So, when I say done, I mean done with the concept.
I have been wanting to put some pictures online for quite some time, but without the whole community. I’d like to show people me, and friends, and just things I find interesting, but I don’t want them to go to some bogus site like PhotoBucket or something like that; I want it to be original, on my site, where I can administer it and know what’s going with my files. Done. Visit the gallery here.
I’d really like to implement the mini-blog that I have been thinking about for around 5 months or so. The fact it, getting the interface to flow with my technical articles. DeckerD was a site intended for my professional and personal experiences. So, a mini-blog feature is in place, and I am getting everything together to make the site more of both sides of my life. Bad Idea.
